Mbappe is not enough for Real Madrid to welcome a 130 million euro star from Germany

But this summer Real Madrid does not intend to stop there. According to the German press, the Royal team is also discussing recruiting one of the most notable young stars in German football: attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz. Only 20 years old, Wirtz is considered the most valuable young star in Germany. He has 8 goals & 16 assists for Bayer Leverkusen in 30 matches this season in all competitions.

Wirtz and his teammates are working hard to help coach Xabi Alonso’s team dream of winning the Bundesliga championship , but like them, Leverkusen’s stars are being enthusiastically sought after by other clubs. The same goes for Wirtz, he was considered a big target by Bayern Munich but Real Madrid has now jumped into the race.

According to Bild newspaper (Germany), Wirtz and Alonso are very close, so wherever the Spanish coach goes, this young star will likely be there. Saying “most likely” is because Leverkusen has made it clear that it will not sell Wirtz to Bayern Munich, a stance that has existed since the time of sports director Rudi Voller. Therefore, if Alonso goes to Bayern, Leverkusen would rather sell Wirtz to Real Madrid.

But Wirtz’s price will be 130 million euros and this is a huge fee for Real Madrid no matter how rich they are, because this summer most of Real Madrid’s transfer budget was spent on Mbappe. However, Bild newspaper said that Adidas, Wirtz’s sponsor, is ready to support Real in recruiting Wirtz the same way they helped Real Madrid own Jude Bellingham from Dortmund.
